How to choose the right industry and sub-industry

Follow this guide to select the correct industry and sub-industry for your organization

Updated over 2 months ago

When you register your organization in Worldfavor, respond to a questionnaire, or update your organization information, you may be asked to select the industry and sub-industry that best match your main business activity. These options follow the NACE Rev. 2 classification system , which is commonly used across Europe.

What is NACE Rev 2?

NACE Rev. 2 is a European standard used to classify economic activities. It was developed by Eurostat to ensure consistent reporting and comparison across industries. Using this system helps improve data accuracy and enables meaningful benchmarking.

⚡️ Quick summary

  • You must select an industry and sub-industry when registering your organization in Worldfavor.

  • This helps ensure your organization receives the most relevant ESG questionnaires and platform experience.

  • Choose the option that best reflects your core business activities.

  • If you're unsure, check our industry guide or contact support for help.
